Ha! I just posted a video update on Instagram — and I shared a photo of the brick in the Geneva BOP chat too :)

As someone who still doesn’t have internet from Helene (truly an insignificant inconvenience considering others lost everything) the thing I’m most annoyed about is not being able to watch GBBO. I also enjoying listening to recap podcasts and can’t wait to get caught up on Bake On

I promise, I’m not a spoiled brat and I am well aware of the severe impacts others are facing and I’m heartbroken for Asheville especially

I'm so, so sorry to hear that you were impacted by the storms. I hope that your internet is back by now <3 <3 Sending love!

I'm going to be in the audience of GBBO Extra Slice (hosted by Jo Brand) tomorrow! I don't know if it is televised outside of the UK, but it's like a chat show about the most recent episode, and it can be rather funny. My snacks are already packed.

I've never heard of this!!! But this sounds so fun. How was it???

That is such a shame! I wonder if they are on Youtube or something? It was SUCH fun. Dame Prue was one of the special guests and she is hilarious, refreshing and utterly Dame-like in everything she does and says. I'm half hoping, half dreading seeing my face in the crowd when it airs

Thank you for sharing a picture of your pumpkin lined path! It felt like weeks ago that you mentioned on IG stories that you were going to buy pumpkins, but it’s been a hectic week at work and time is playing tricks on me, lol.

This was a delightful and joyful read. The original Speak No Evil is one of my favorites!!

Ohhh, I need to watch the original!! I read that the social commentary is a lot more clear in that one, so I'm curious.

Your photos always bring me joy! I should take a cue from you and photograph other things than my dog sleeping!

LOVE LOVE LOVE GBBO!! I think what just makes it so lovely is that when someone has to leave everyone is crying and devastated unlike most eliminating reality shows. I just want to hang out in that tent with everyone... Minus the heatwave days!

Thank you! I also photograph my dog more than anything else, though, so I get it.

And I agree!! It's just so pure!

I feel the exact same way about GBBO! Loved this 🥹 I recommend Mrs Quinn’s Rise to Fame if you want a book that captures this exact feeling ❤️

And how about that opening scene car crash, huh?

Such a lovely post! I know this is a trite question, but as someone who just moved and is struggling with finding my regular friend group (I work from home too), what are your tips?

Not trite at all! I get it. For me, it's been a combination of going to the same places many times in a row (the local bookstore, etc.), noticing familiar faces, connecting via social media, and then saying yes to absolutely everything. Also: Time! It takes time.

I LOVE this idea of week in the life in photos! I might have to try that. And I agree so much on GBBS, it used to be our sleepy time show because, as you say, it asks nothing of you (except to not have the urge to suddenly eat every sweet and bread imaginable!)

It's a perfect sleepy time show, it's true. I love watching it while drinking my evening tea. So relaxing.

We also spent a lot of money on pumpkins (and Halloween decorations) last week — and have now named/invented personalities for each one. So fun!

What a beautiful fall season you're having--very jealous of your sweater (still in the 90s in Austin, Texas). I am wearing summer clothes still, in fall colors. 🤣

Hang in there!! And remember you'll be having gorgeous weather when I am in the pure darkness which is upstate NY in Jan-March, ha.

I always say that Bakeoff season is my favorite season - aside from being the Best Show Ever, it airs when the weather starts to cool and things get cozier, and I always watch virtually with my long-distance bff (sometimes we try and coordinate our snacks to the week’s theme!)
