It's so nice to see someone admit they don't love working from home. I love my job, but we've been almost fully remote since 3/13/20 and even though I have a dedicated workspace I liked it better when I worked with others.
I wrote a whole piece about my love of the office when I worked at Fortune, much to my team’s chagrin. Though I could get them to come in at least 1x a week & we’d have the best team brainstorms. Hard to get that energy on zoom 🤷♀️
That desk makes me so nostalgic for the rolltop desk I inherited from my step-grandmother, and used in high school. Bring back desks with lots of tiny, impractical drawers!
This post makes me feel better about my similarly imperfect, intended-to-be-temporary writing-from-home setup; I'm not alone in feeling the itch to find a dedicated workspace outside my home! I love that despite its efficient size, Lindsey was able to incorporate so many personal/nostalgic touches at her gorgeous antique desk.
Love reading The Purse! And I can relate to the coffee addiction. I can drink coffee all day too and have to brew a decaf pot early in the afternoon, otherwise I'll drink myself into heart palpitations.
I’m feeling luckier than ever to have a whole home office, complete with an antique desk, a futon where my dogs snooze and a perfect view of squirrels cavorting on the roof of the treehouse in my backyard. Could I get more done with fewer distractions?

Thank you, Kristen!

Ha, I can't believe I'm the first to admit to fidgeting! Highly recommend playing with a shell! And thanks, Olivia! This was so fun!
