Everything I've written about writing.
In honor of SABI paperback day!
My first novel Such a Bad Influence is out in paperback today. The cover is new and gorgeous. It’s fun to flip through and looks great on a shelf. I love it. You can order it right now from wherever you get books.
And if you haven’t checked it out quite yet, here is a spoiler-free review from Publisher’s Weekly that pretty much sums up the whole she-bang! My one-sentence pitch for it is that it’s a suspense novel about growing up online, and the ways the internet sinks its claws into us and refuses to let go. It also encapsulates so many of my feelings (both positive and negative) about influencing.

I kept thinking of what to write about today to celebrate this very cool milestone, and I kept coming to the conclusion that maybe I have simply said it all. I’m sure that’s not exactly true and the real answer is something more like…. I am eyeballs deep in promoting Book 2 and writing Book 3 and both of those books are currently easier to talk about than the one I haven’t read in its entirety in nearly three years.
So I thought I would use today as a sort of encyclopedia of content. Over the last three years, I’ve shared so much about Such a Bad Influence — about publishing, about writing a book about influencing as an influencer, about moving forward post-publication, about trying to feel confident throughout the whole process.
Maybe some of that is interesting to you, or maybe you’re looking for something specific. In any case, below is an easy-to-browse list (I’m sure there are some I missed, but this is a good start).

I wrote a pub day essay encapsulating what it felt like to finally have my book out in the world.
I shared a pub month post-mortem, where I got into the very, very nitty-gritty details of reading reviews, sales, the post-publication emotional crash, and more.
I shared a particularly vulnerable essay about book tour events, and what it’s like to sit in front of a crowd as someone with life-long body image issues.
I went deep on the question I got asked the most in 2024: Am I still an influencer?
I did a June 2025 deep dive into my first year as a published author and the biggest lessons I had learned.
I shared about my years-long habit of keeping champagne in the fridge as a way to keep the dream of a future book alive.
